FAQs
About Wonder Gym
What is Wonder Gym?
Wonder Gym is a unique approach to fitness that combines physical workouts with mindful reflection and personal growth. We believe in strengthening both body and mind, creating spaces where people can challenge themselves physically while exploring ideas that matter to them.
What makes Wonder Gym different from other fitness groups?
Unlike traditional gyms that focus solely on physical transformation, Wonder Gym integrates mental exploration and authentic connection into the workout experience. Each session is designed to challenge your body while creating space for reflection, learning, and growth.
Who is behind Wonder Gym?
Wonder Gym was founded by Michael Stallsmith, who developed the concept after years of using movement as a personal tool for thinking, learning, and growth.
Men's Collective
What is the Wonder Gym Men's Collective?
The Men's Collective is our core community program - a group of men who meet regularly for workouts that combine physical challenge with mindful reflection and authentic conversation.
Do I need to be extremely fit to participate?
No. Our workouts can be modified to accommodate different fitness levels. What's most important is your willingness to engage both physically and mentally.
How often does the Men's Collective meet?
Currently, we meet bi-weekly on Sunday mornings, with plans to increase frequency as our community grows.
What should I bring to a session?
Comfortable workout clothes, water, and an open mind. Specific equipment needs (if any) will be listed in the event details.
Mindset in Motion
What is Mindset in Motion?
Mindset in Motion is a collaborative format that brings performance mindset coaching directly into the workout experience. These sessions combine physical training with real-time teaching on mental performance topics.
How is Mindset in Motion different from regular Wonder Gym sessions?
While all Wonder Gym sessions integrate physical and mental elements, Mindset in Motion includes structured teaching segments from mindset coaches during the workout itself, followed by group discussion.
Do I need to have attended previous Wonder Gym sessions to join Mindset in Motion?
No. Mindset in Motion sessions are open to both returning participants and newcomers.
Movement Mindset Method
What is the Movement Mindset Method?
The Movement Mindset Method is our framework for using movement as a catalyst for mental clarity, creative thinking, and personal growth. It provides structure for turning workouts into opportunities for deeper thinking and breakthrough insights.
What does the Movement Mindset Journal contain?
The journal includes prompts for pre- and post-workout reflection, guidance on integrating movement with mental exploration, and space to capture insights that emerge during physical activity.
Is the journal only for Wonder Gym participants?
No. While the journal complements our group sessions, it's designed for anyone interested in enhancing their solo workout routine with mindful reflection.
